The territory of Roero is located in the northeastern part of the province of Cuneo. It takes its name from the homonymous family, that is the Roero family, which for several centuries has dominated these lands.

The Roero is all placed on the hydrographic left of theTanaro river. Beyond this river, on its hydrographic right, the territory of the Langhe begins.

Tanaro River forms the border between Roero and Langhe. The Roero area is mainly hilly and is mainly cultivated with orchards and vineyards.
